Long is the head pastor of the 24,000 member New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. Long was a mentor to various people over the years, and several young men from those programs are who are part of the Bishop Eddie Long scandal. Bishop Long allegedly adjoined in inappropriate acts with these young men, of a sexual nature. This is odd, as Bishop Long is fervently anti-homosexual.

A suit was filed over a week ago against Eddie Long. The pictures soon came out, according to Columbia Broadcasting System. The photos were allegedly from the really individuals suing him. Some of the pictures are obviously not official portraits. The pictures show Long posing in very tight fitting clothing. However, the attorney for the plaintiffs in the suit does not believe the pictures to be of a sex nature. The content is unknown, but it is known Long emailed the plaintiffs.
The lawsuit is nearly class action
Now, four individuals, as outlined by CNN, are suing Bishop Long. The litigation alleges Long used his position in the church to elicit sexual favors. Long was also the men’s benefactor. All four were in a mentoring program run by Long’s church. Long maintains his innocence. He has fervently denied all allegations. The lawsuit is especially puzzling, as Bishop Long has a history of preaching a staunch anti-homosexual message. Long has also called for a nationwide ban on exact same sex marriages.
The reality will come out
The truth of the allegations awaits the decision of the court. Bishop Long ministers to a mega-church. The membership totals over 24,000. His sermons on Sunday routinely draw 10,000 members or more.
